Our rustic barn & farm wedding venue is located in New York’s Adirondack Park, in the quaint hamlet of Olmstedville. Known for outdoor recreation, pristine forests and lakes, the Adirondacks offer you and your guests a variety of things to see and do outside of the wedding festivities.

Must-See Attractions

The Natural Stone Bridge & Caves is a must-see attraction when visiting our area of the Adirondacks. Dominated by a huge stone bridge arch carved by the Trout Brook, this amazing geological wonder features a marble gorge, lighted caves, grottos and waterfalls along a rustic stone-step and gravel trail.

You’ll also find several railbike tours near Once Upon a Time Barn & Wedding Venue. Revolution Rail Co. has four tours of varying lengths and duration in the North Creek Region. Pedal along the Hudson River and through the Adirondack Mountains on a rail trail bike specially-designed for traversing the old railroad tracks.

Outdoor Recreation

The Adirondacks are known for a variety of recreational activities, including hiking, biking, swimming, paddling and fishing. Nearby Moxham Mountain offers a moderately challenging, 5-mile out-and-back trail, while Crane Mountain in Thurman, NY features a shorter 2-mile roundtrip hike.

For downhill mountain biking in the summer and fall, check out the Gore Mountain Ski Center in North Creek, NY, or visit Schroon Lake and Lake George to enjoy swimming, fishing and watercraft rentals.

Places to Stay

Our two-day wedding package includes exclusive use of the farm’s two-bedroom guest house, featuring a “Grooms Room” with outdoor shower, as well as six “glamping” cabins with queen sized beds for $235/night. However, you’ll also find a variety of places to stay near our Adirondack barn wedding venue, including several lodges and inns.
