The staff were attentive, kind and welcoming, and they made all in attendance feel like family. Time stops at the Once Upon a Time Barn in a way that makes for lasting memories that will endure back "out there in the real world." We'd recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone planning on sharing their joyful ceremony with friends and family.
It's the perfect, unique setting to embark on a long and loving life together.

Once Upon A Time Barn is the perfect venue with an all-natural backdrop of wildflowers, a pond and mountain views. It was a beautiful spot for our wedding! The drive in past the pumpkin patch and then through the woods with some very cool lighting along the way is quite special.
The grounds include a two-bedroom rustic cabin which was perfect for our bridal party to stay the night before the wedding, and then where we stayed the night of our wedding. The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities one could ask for.
The barn is simply breathtaking. There’s a separate bar area which is air conditioned for those hot summer days and it’s decorated giving the vibe of an old Victorian bourbon smoke room. The lighting and sound system were fantastic.
The screened patio has a beautiful wood burning pizza oven and was a perfect place for our cocktail hour. There’s a fully covered deck that overlooks the pond that offers additional seating. It is a perfect place to sit around the gas fire pit in the evening to relax and visit with a nice glass of wine. The sunset was vibrant with the mountains as a backdrop.
We can’t say enough about the food! Our guests were treated to a very impressive selection of appetizers and hors d’oeuvres. The presentation was beautifully done. While the first course had our guests in awe, they couldn’t believe there was a main course. The food was just amazing.
The views are breathless, and the venue is perfect. The Colletti family went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. They were great to work with and the communication was excellent. It has been almost a year since our wedding and our friends and family are still raving about the venue and the food! Many say it was the best wedding they have ever attended!
We are so thankful to have had our wedding at the Once Upon a Time Barn. It’s a beautiful piece of heaven tucked away in the Adirondack mountains. We cannot thank Steve and all his family and staff for all their professionalism in making our day so perfect! We highly recommend Once Upon a Time Barn for any special occasion, you will not be disappointed.

Everything I wanted for my wedding
As a bride, my wedding day was a dream come true, thanks in large part to the Once Upon a Time Barn in Olmstedville, NY. This venue provided the perfect backdrop for our special day, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue.
From the moment my fiancé and I set foot on the property (before we were even engaged), we were captivated by the beauty of the venue. The abundance of wildflowers and waterfront created a natural beauty and atmosphere. It was a delightful touch to incorporate some of these wildflowers into one of our signs, making it feel even more personalized and unique.
One of the standout features of this venue was the convenience it offered. The option to rent the venue for the entire weekend was a game-changer, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the celebration. The availability of a guest house specifically for getting ready ensured that we had a comfortable and private space to prepare for the big day. Additionally, the groomsmen's shed provided a separate area for the groom and his party to get ready, ensuring everyone had their own special space.
The cocktail hour space at Once Upon a Time Barn was a true gem. With a screened-in porch, speakeasy-style bar, and an outside covered deck overlooking the water, it provided the perfect setting for our guests to mingle and enjoy the breathtaking views.
The barn itself was a sight to behold. I was especially grateful that all the tables and chairs were provided, and the venue staff took care of setting up the table settings for us. It allowed us to focus on other aspects of our wedding planning.
However, the true highlight of our wedding day was the food. Steve's culinary skills were simply outstanding. The fact that several of the ingredients were farm fresh, sourced directly from their own farm on the property, made the dining experience even more special. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food for days. He was incredibly accommodating, making sure that all of our requests were met and going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction.
In conclusion, the Once Upon a Time Barn provided the wedding of my dreams. From the breathtaking beauty of the venue to the convenient on-site amenities, every aspect was carefully thought out and executed to perfection.
